Ron is from Kingston, PA and graduated from Wyoming Valley West, also attending Wilkes College. He had a business that took him to Louisiana where he opened a restaurant named Tuxedos. He trained under two creole sisters that taught him regional cooking.
Ron moved back to the area in 1996 and opened The French Quarter Cafe in Luzerne and sold it in 2001.
After 11 years in the corporate world, Ron had to get back in the people business. Ron and his wife, Ann, are both bikers and wanted to open up a bar dedicated to motorcycles. In 2016, they co-founded Crabby's along with Ron's daughter Kim and her husband Bill. They thought they were going to have a local bar and created Crabby's Seafood Grill and Pipe's Bar, one of the most popular places in the Back Mountain.
